Alta Vista offers checking plans designed to fit your specific needs. All accounts excluding Opportunity Checking feature free unlimited check writing, free VISA Checkcard, free deposits at CO-OP ATMs, free withdrawals at Alta Vista-owned ATMs*, and an unlimited number of free withdrawals at non-Alta Vista-owned ATMs. Full descriptions of the accounts are listed below.
Our checking accounts can be accessed via ATM, point of sale (POS) terminals or at any merchant who accepts VISA by using your VISA Checkcard.
Advantage Checking is a non-interest bearing, free account with eStatements. The monthly service charge for members without eStatements is only $20.00. Advantage Checking gives the member the ability to pay bills via checks or electronic payment, as well as the ability to overdraw account by up to $500 through Courtesy Pay of checks, debits, and ATM transactions.**
Platinum Checking lets you put your money to work for you by earning interest on your checking balance. Enjoy an interest earning account with a minimum balance of $2,500. Platinum Checking monthly service fee is only $20.00 or free of charge when you sign up for eStatements. Alta Vista's Platinum Checking includes unlimited check writing.
A no frills checking account that is free of the monthly $10.00 charge when you sign up for eStatements.
Next Generation "eAccess" Account
Next Generation "eAccess" Account is the easiest way to manage and access money for young adults, ages 14 - 21 with a no monthly service fee. Access your funds by writing a check or using your VISA Checkcard. Eligibility for Next Generation "eAccess" and a VISA Checkcard requires passing of the Next Generation "eAccess" Account quiz and Visa Checkcard quiz.
Opportunity Checking is an account that forgives past checking mistakes and provides a second chance to establish a checking relationship. The monthly service fee is only $20.00. The Opportunity Checking account allows you to have an ATM card with a $65.00 daily withdrawal limit.
*When you use an ATM not owned by Alta Vista Credit Union or out of the CO-OP Network, you may be charged a fee by the ATM operator.
